Jesus is enough to keep me at peace like a child in it’s mother’s arms… Jesus is enough to keep me at peace like a child… Jesus is enough to keep me at peace… Jesus is enough to keep… Jesus is enough… Jesus… – Inspired by Psalm 131:2 – Read Mark 10:13-16 and reflect. – Simplfied by Matt from a…
I give you glory, O Christ, because you, the only begotten, the Lord of all things, who alone are without sin, gave yourself to die for me, a sinner unworthy of such a blessing: you died the death of the cross to free my sinful soul from the bonds of sin. What shall I give you, Lord, in return for…
God grant me the serenity To accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as you did, this world as it is, Not as I want it,…
God be in head and in my understanding; God be in my eyes and in my looking; God be in my mouth and in my speaking; God be in my heart and in my thinking; God be at my end and at my departing. This traditional prayer is sometimes called ‘the Old Sarum Prayer’ and comes form a Middle…
Most gracious Father, we pray to you for your holy Church. Fill it with all truth; in all truth with all peace. Where it is corrupt, purge it. Where it is in error, direct it. Where anything is amiss, reform it. Where it is right, strengthen and defend it. Where it is in want, provide for it. Where it is…
May the Strength of God guide us. May the Power of God preserve us. May the Wisdom of God instruct us. May the Hand of God protect us. May the Way of God direct us. May the Shield of God defend us. May the Angels of God guard us Against the snares of the evil one. Christ be with us!…
Jesus, my feet are dirty. Come even as a slave to me, pour water into your bowl, come and wash my feet. In asking such a thing I know I am overbold, but I dread what was threatened when you said to me, “If I do not wash your feet I have no fellowship with you.” Wash my feet then,…
Lord, because you made me, I owe you the whole of my love; because you redeemed me, I owe you the whole of my life; because you have promised so much, I owe you my whole being. I owe you as much more love than myself as you are greater than I, for whom you gave yourself and to whom…
Lord our helper and protector. Save the afflicted among us; have mercy on the lowly; raise up the fallen; appear to the needy; heal the ungodly; restore the wanderers of thy people; feed the hungry; ransom our prisoners; raise up the sick; comfort the faint-hearted. – Clement of Rome, died 96AD and lived at same time as John and other apostles!
Oh Lord! To rejoice in the eye of the storm, to laugh out loud with delight in your presence, to respond with humility and to give in love – surely there is no other way. Help me Lord, to walk humbly, to love and to be loved and to hear your words in all that surrounds. Amen
Loving Father we praise you: For the beautiful sun, For the rain which makes things grow, For the bush and the paddocks, For the sea and the sky, For the flowers and the birds, And for your gifts to us. Everything around us sings with joy. With all you made we sing for joy too! Amen.
O Father, give the spirit power to climb To the fountain of all light, and be purified. Break through the mists of earth, the weight of the soil, Shine forth in splendour, you that are calm weather, And quiet resting place for souls. To see you is the end and the beginning, You carry us, and you go before, You…
