God my soul’s healer, Keep me at even, Keep me at morning, Keep me at noon, On rough course faring, Help and safeguard You are my security this night. I am tired, astray, and stumbling, Shield Thou me from snare and sin. In the name of Christ. Amen. – From the Carmina Gadelica – Submitted by Doug
Dear Lord, Thank You for my life and thank You for my husband’s life. I am so grateful to have a best friend to share this life with. I pray that I can better support my husband. Open my eyes to ways I can serve him, love him, affirm him, and speak truth into his life. I pray for the…
Dear Lord, Save me… The sea is so wide and my boat is so small. (repeat as needed!)
Mighty Holy Spirit, My comforter, pure living and true. Mighty Holy Spirit, Illuminate, rule and confirm my heart and mind in faith. Mighty Holy Spirit, Rule over me, so I might live in God’s presence all the days of my life. Mighty Holy Spirit, Let me see the Lord and praise him with joy, And in unity with those in…
Endless Strength! Your love authored life when You spoke that one Word You’re the One who created order Creation, Your way. And Your Word dressed Himself in flesh, embracing the sin-stained form we inherited from Adam, to remove the sadness from our clothes. The Saviour’s love frees the world, for what has ever been kinder than His incarnation? His sinlessness breathed life into…
Lord of Creation, create in us a new rhythm of life composed of hours that sustain rather than stress, of days that deliver rather than tackles. Lord of Liberation, by the rhythm of your truth, set us free from the bondage and baggage that break us, from the Pharaohs and fellows who fail us, from the plans and pursuits that…
Gracious and holy Father, please give me: intellect to understand you; reason to discern you; diligence to seek you; wisdom to find you; a spirit to know you; a heart to meditate upon you; ears to hear you; eyes to see you; a tongue to proclaim you; a way of life pleasing to you; patience to wait for you; and…
O God, early in the morning I cry to you. Help me to pray And to concentrate my thoughts on you. I cannot do this alone. In me there is darkness, but with you there is light. I am lonely, but you do not leave me. I am feeble in heart, but with you is strength. I am restless, but with…

Like manna in the desert given, the Bread of life, sent down from Heaven. – This prayer was traditionally been prayed almost everywhere through Australia among Lutheran Christians. It’s origins are unknown but it has been popular among Methodists and Presbyterians too. It is very…
I am not worthy, my Master and my God, That you should come beneath the roof of my soul. Yet, since in your universal love you want to live in me, I ask with boldness. You command, Open the gates which you forged, Come in with love and light up my darkened thinking. I believe that you will do this…
Jesus Christ is here, Here! As on the first day, Here among us eternally, As on Easter morning, Here with us forever, As on the First Day, Here in our midst, Through all the days of his eternity, For He is risen! Alleluia! – Pierre Talac, France. – As at Pg 58 of Prayers Encircling The World by Westminster John Knox…
Glory be to God for dappled things – For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow; For rose-moles in all stipple upon the trout that swim; Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches wings; Landscape plotted and pieced – fold, fallow, plough; And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim. All things counter, original, spare, strange; Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)…
